At the same time though, as you get comfortable on the Clarke I'd even go back and visit your Generation again. They will definitely teach you more about breath control than a Clarke as they are a much more sensitive whistle. I think the Bb is one of my favorite Generation whistles that I have. It ...

Another post from beginner to beginner

I got lucky. On the day I was about to buy a whistle off ebay, I visited a local second hand store and found, like new, C and D Sweetones, a C Clarke "original" (silver with the wooden "plug") and a Generation B flat (nickel, with blue) and a D Feadog. All with cute little, homem...

Whistlers in Boise, Idaho

A couple of years ago, I met a fellow on this board and got together with he and his family, several times. Including a nice get togther at their home attended by a fellow who played whistles, bodhran and uilleann pipes. I have since moved and have misplaced his name and number. If he is still on th...

I'm gonna open a private club.....$1 per year. As the autonomous owner I plan to allow smoking, but.......if someone doesn't like you lighting up a stinking coffin nail in their face.....as the owner, I will allow that person to punch the smoker's teeth out....with complete immunity. What? No? You d...

They can't do anything if they don't know who's doing it. uce@ftc.gov Here are a couple sites with goo...

I find it rather interesting that the short essay on this music (supplied by Steve http://www.davkamusic.com/sfke/klezmer_history.htm was apparently adapted from a Mel Bay publication, and the author is Stacey Phillips. The only person that I'm aware of , in the music world, with that name is a dobr...

Hi. I'm new to the forum. I had the name and number of a lady in Boise who had a group of Irish music fans, including whistle player that met frequently. The phone number turned out to be old and no good. Anyone know anyone of this description named Kelly (first name) in the Boise area?

I wasn't hooked until I got a Clark traditional natural. Wooden fipple, no paint. YMMV
