My car is 12 or 13 years old which I bought brand new and I would not dare to speak about it as it is a part of my life.Sindt whistles are as if they didnt exist here but it's now a part of my life, the same thing,I think. I think Buzz is a sign of something else which shows they are still looking fo...

Thank you all!! I don't have any trouble with half-holing F,but I just wanted to know the possibilities. You know,I just remembered that it's possible on traversos(I havent played them for years,so I am not so sure of the fact now though,um,ninjaaron said it already heh). Just as a reference, the fin...

I'd define the word 'intensity' in this way,I mean, you can apparently see the intensity sometimes, but sometimes you cant see it.Not a matter of quantity. Not a matter of physical speed. Not even a matter of agility sometimes. Not even a matter of good intonation of an well maintained instrument(then wh...

Ah sounds like 'intensity' is more proper word for this topic. Thanks. :) I didn't mean to eliminate the state called 'relax' by the word 'tension'. Physically relaxed as well as mentally full of inspiration/poesy/concentration,mentally not bored.Something like that, then yeah, intensity. That should ...

Re: How much tension needed when playing?

By the way, do I use the word 'tension' correctly? Probably not, because I'm not sure what you're trying to say. In music, I usually think of "tension" as "a feeling that the chord progression is about to resolve to the base chord." Maybe other people will have another definitio...

How much tension/intensity needed when playing?

I have kept learning so many issues out of my Sindt/Reyburn whistle for a while and my latest interest is about the 'tension' we need to play a certain tune which I was a bit careless of when I determined to choose 'off-set' tube by Reyburn. For example, when playing Bach with modern flute,it's carta...

Mike Rafferty! For now,the only flutist I like and I am basically the man who don't like any wind instruments. He has the groove! I respect him as a great artist.

What about the realm of the natural reverberation time of 45 seconds?
In this way, I realized real good reverb couldn't be synthesized.

Happy hunting! :)

I play most tunes in A whistle(Sindt/Reyburn hybrid) so a part of 3rd octave is fatally important. Why I needed Reyburn's new tube was that I had to take this issue into consideration. I needed to get good G natural on 2nd octave with much less efforts,etc.,..... The highest note on most ITM tunes i...
