Morning folks, I got my Seery a couple of months ago from Steve Power at Shannaquay. The wait was to be a few weeks, but Steve said Desi had just dropped one off that morning and would I like it. I paid 380Euros/380$'s at the time. Not sure about exchange rates right now. Free shipping which took a ...

I'm waiting to hear from Philippe over at Celtic Grooves as to when he'll get his batch of this CD. I love the air Easter Snow McGrattan plays on disc 2 of WFO and definitely need to own this latest release. Turns out Rolling in the Ryegrass, which I learned from Music at Molloy's, is McGrattan as w...

I'm quit enthralled with my new Seery Pratten. Looks, sounds, feels just great. Then again, the M&E Rudall MP3 of Kiss the Maid sounds absolutely fantastic. Anybody have tunes recorded with the Dixon polymer they could post? We've heard what the other two poly's sound like. IMO, sell your soul, ...

Doc,

Found the flute behind a book shelf. Don't ask...

Doc, After reading your post I decided to look for my Olwell Eb bamboo flute. Of course I can't find it anywhere. If I can find it would you be interested? It plays really well and should be in great shape. I can't imagine I got rid of it. Hopefully it's around here somewhere. It's yours if you want...

Greg, Glad to hear your finally got your Olwell Bf. The way you describe it sounds exactly like my Bf Olwell(rosewood #484). Aren't these flutes pure joy to play! I do have a question for you, though. What kind of case did you get for it? Did you get it from Pat or somewhere else? When I picked up m...

Since the subject has been brought up, could someone explain to me the numbering system for flutes.
I admit I don't get it. Does #460 mean the 460th flute made?
Thanks in advance.

Congratulations, Greg. I would love to see a pic or two of an Olwell Bb in blackwood. To everyone else, I thought I should finally introduce myself to this forum. I have been lurking(reading archives for a week)until I saw this Bb massage. I play both Irish flutes and highland pipes. Flutes for abou...

gcollins, Thought I would de-lurk and ask what kind of wood your Bb is made of? I got a 4 section rosewood in Bb from Pat around 1996 or so and can't praise it enough. I have a few other flutes as well, but nothing to compare to the Olwell. Beautiful darkish rosewood and an absolutely lovely tone. H...
