Camera tripod\lighting bags come in lots of sizes. Put your whistles in pipe insulation or PVC tubes and you're good. Also, drum stick cases can work. Depends on exactly what size you need.

Re: Setanta production
Agreed. Perhaps their used value will go up.
They were next up on my WOAD list. I guess a Lir it is.

Re: Setanta production
I heard back from the Mcneela folks. No more Setanta whistles, they've ended production.

Re: Stuck
A heat gun is a good tool for this purpose. Hotter than an alcohol burner or candle but less than a smoke wrench. A combination of its heat and gentle taps with a rawhide or poly mallet (onto a base surface of leather or other non scuffing material) should do it. Not as much experience with whistles...

Tweaking a Generation
I did a search but it must have been too broad. Though I've seen several YT videos about using blue tac to tweak a Generation, I can't get past step one, removing the head. Any tips? I used very hot but not quite boiling water but it won't budge. It's not a huge expense but I'd rather not crack the ...

Like clones? Fading after multiple copies? Maybe we'll end up with straws! Thanks for the information.

Killarney whistle engraving
Does anyone have a Killarney whistle from 2016 or earlier? I got mine on a trip to Ireland and I've noticed that the head is engraved now (mine is not) Just making sure I didn't get a weird knock off. TIA!

Re: New whistle key or maker?
I get tired just listening to her sometimes (in a good way). Reminds me of a quote about Stevie Ray Vaughan, newbies hear him and want to pick up a guitar. Guitar players hear him and want to give theirs away. Goals.

Re: New whistle key or maker?
Mr. Gumby, why that key?
Sirchronique, I'm a bit of an equipment freak so I'm always after grass that's greener. New and different (hopefully better) always has an appeal. But I can see the joy some might feel with a whole role from one maker. C'mon lottery!

New whistle key or maker?
I know these are broad and hard to answer but, here we are.... I like to sample the wide variety I can get here. If you were to get a new whistle, would you get another maker or another key from a maker you already have? 2nd - guidance on new keys. Once a pro on a different instrument but play the w...

Collection by maker
Another question with no good answer. For those of you that have a variety of whistles, are you moving to collect by maker (in a variety of keys or various D's if multiple makers)? Or do you have a variety of makers across a variety of keys? I know WOAD whispers just try this one, it'll be perfect.....

Tipple D-12 PVC flute for sale or trade (fixed the pics) SOLD
I have far too many whistles in the fire and won't have time to get to this PVC Tipple flute. I paid $108 for it and I'd like to get $75.00 shipped to the continental US. Unused but for a few attempts from me. Includes 4 piece flute, bag (small tear in the bag) and swab stick. I'm open to whistle t...
