Mini Review of Lark Woodworks Case

When this thread first appeared, I checked out Lark's site and contacted him (Bart) about making a variation on one of his cases. The case arrived today, so here's my review. Here's what I asked for. A combined flute and whistle case. Something like the whistle case on his site, but a little deeper ...

You'll get no sympathy here... John Brown's body lies a mouldering in the grave..... John Brown's baby had a cold upon his chest... All of sudden, I see sheriff John Brown.... "Did you know there was a famous abolishonist name....John Brown?" "No officer, I swear, that's my real name....

Hello Barry,
I have a copy of the Three Sisters. Autographed by you during your swing through Connecticut a year or two ago with Na Dorsa.
It's a great album. Glad to hear you have more in the works.
I'm looking forward to it.

I received my flute from Ireland a while ago. It was labeled with a few small fibs. Something to the effect of... "Practice flute. 90 euro." Close enough to the truth so that if they opened the package, you wouldn't get into trouble for lying, but understated enought to avoid attention or ...

My grandad had all sort of quotes, scripture and the like. He said to me on more than one occasion, "Where no wood is, the fire goes out; so where there is no tale bearer, the strife ceaseth." I think George Eliot put it nicely, "Gossip is a sort of smoke that comes from the dirty to...

OT: Tube Radios

This is OT, but may be of interest to C+F'ers since it's about sound + tradition. I'm a big fan of radio. Public radio on FM, shortwave, ham, even CB (gag). We're blessed with a few really independent radio staions around here. By that I mean not funded by commercials OR ARCHER-DANIELS MIDLAND!!!! L...

The real hoot in all this comes later when another composer includes a minute of silence and is sued for copyright infringement.

This begs the question, which minute did he copy???

My sister-in-law is from Costa Rica. Miami is as far NORTH as she is willing to live. Right now my brother and her live in Hawaii. She's ok with that.

I've made some substantial purchases overseas on my c.c. Most of the time i've been able to call the c.c. company in advance (at least 24 hours) and have not had a problem, though they usually say "it was a good thing you called because this probably would have been blocked.." One time i d...

Is it possible that Yahoo is rerouting everything through it's own high speed system? Everything comes through their system anyway. At least the last part of the trip. But you're right, one part of their high speed dialup servoce could be caching proxies. The problem is the "last mile" fr...
