FS-- Sindt whistle in the key C
On E-Bay http://m.ebay.com/itm/172595221479 Lightly used John Sindt whistle in the key C. I am the original owner of this whistle that I purchased several years ago. The whistle is in excellent condition, there are no scratches or dents, cosmetically the brass has just started to develop a patina.

Re: Learning on your own
It's been quite awhile since, but I used "Mel Bay's Complete Irish Tin Whistle Book".
I liked going old school, and concentrate with sheet music instead of videos, the cd helped listen for what each song should sound like as well.
Good luck!!!

Re: Keys other than high D for playing by myself?
I've also enjoyed playing an "A", of course the concept of playing by yourself opens you up to any key.....it's when your playing with others that restrictions are applied.
