Mrs gilhooleys party/Kevin Burke
This is a song that Kevin Burke sang during a Bothy Band performance about the piper at a party who gets his pipes ruined. I saw a reference to this somewhere and actually viewed the video on Youtube. Have not been able to find it again, and a friend brought it up the other day in conversation. Any ...

No, that was probably me. While I was waiting around last year for any of you folks to make yourself known, I met a man and his two kids playing in the back of the area set aside for those not choosing to attend mass. This year, he had another daughter with him and we had some very nice tunes on a B...

WCSS concerts 91 - 94
Hi, looking for lists of performers and tunes from conerts at WCSS 91, 92, 93 and 94. Primarily uilleann pipe and tin whistle/flute concerts, but if you have details from fiddle, concertina, and big final all encompassing concerts that would be great. Started listening to "archives" again,...

Yeah, I kinda laughed when I saw that one too. It all comes down to poor research. The uilleann pipes I can see someone getting wrong, but a tin whistle? Even my fiddler friend saw it when i showed it to him the first time. Every time I see the book, I have to look to see if by any chance they fixed...

A fellow piper and I have discussed whther or not these two are indeed different tunes, or variations on one tune. Any thoughts?

If you let me know and have concrete numbers, I might be able to get a two hour slot where we hold our now annual uilleann pipers session that I set up three years back. Off of the lake, room for musicians, not so much for onlookers, and free beer/water for those participating!!!! There are also ses...

Just wondering if anybody got together Sunday morning at 9/930 at Marcus Ampitheater. If you did, I didn't hear any evidence of whistlers, except the two kids sitting way off in the corner, playing some very nice tunes who I joined after looking about for half an hour or so...

WCSS93 recital artists
Does anyone know the pipers who played at the 1:00 recitals in 1993 at WCSS? Pulled out old recordings and would like to know. Thanks.
