I have a Jean Cavallaro soft flute case / roll, which I like a lot. There are a number of options on the web site. Good luck !

Re: Dry throat when playing flute.
FWIW, I too get a dry throat after a few tunes. I have a bottle of water with me when I play or practice, and that seems to work for me.
good luck, keep playing !!

Re: Irish flute teachers
I have been a student of Lesl Harker for a few years now, and I can recommend her without reservation. Lesl has a great understanding of the music, superior flute skills, and the ability to teach to the students level of play. Lesl was taught by the master, Mike Rafferty. Lesl is also in the Central...

Laurence Nugent playing NYC & NJ
I'd like to pass along that Laurence Nugent has scheduled 2 dates to play in the NY / NJ area.
March 13, Rocky Sullivan's, Brooklyn, NY
March 21, McIntrye's, toms River , NJ
I'm not familiar with either venue. Laurence Nugent of course is the real deal.

Question on my new Merlin flute
I've just bought a Merlin flute. It's light, and has a good tone, however I'm having a hard time with the finger holes. I can't seem to get good hole coverage, thus leakage and a poor sound. does any one have any help on this? any similar experiences? Thanks Vince
