Sweet's is a beautiful spot. Their hall is for contradancing so lots of room and lots of parking. And Walt is truly a Sweetheart (pun intended but still the truth).

Wow, I return after a long absence and it's like a never left. Feels like home.

Great review, Bloomer. Thank you for your time and considerable effort. Ah, and I do love a mystery solved.

PS - AMAR - damn good bear joke!

Brewster - Congrats on the Red Sox World Championship!! S'bout time  Interesting that Danu's performance was a little flat for you, too. Maybe they're touring under duress. It's obvious that they're fantastic musicians. They just need to work on enjoying their own music. The contrast was so h...

Irish Music in Niagara Falls Ontario?

Hi Gang,

I'm taking my hubby to Niagara (the Canadian side) for his 40th birthday.
Any good pubs or venues with ITM locally or within driving distance?
We're leaving today but I hope to be able to have at least a little internet access while we're there. Sorry if I'm slow to reply.

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in CT. They were slow getting in the groove having just arrived from Ireland the night before - hadn't slept yet. Who ever did their booking so close to arriving was sadistic. Their serious jetlag was showing but they did get into a nice groove after intermis...

I love the RHP, Dale! The concept is great and look is excellent. I shall humbly be submitting my work in short order. I especially love the "cover" art and Glory Wings in Vol. 2. Thanks for all you do (and are). With Gratitude, Fran 8) PS - Btw, the Vol 2 link below the table of contents ...

Roy's banter is hilarious. I loved Roy! Scots do tell a good story. He told one about his old grand dad dying in the hospital. He was visiting and while he was there he ate all the nuts that were in a bowl by his grand dad's bed. He said, "Grand dad, I'm so sorry I ate all your peanuts." ...

Fr. Emmet, I do love your Father Ted avatar. Ah, Jack...drink!! As for the parenting thought. I watched Dr. Phil's interview with the President and Mrs. Bush. It was meant to be about family and the people, not the politics. Before the interview, I would have thought the same thing considering his &...

Oh Dale, please remove my embarassing duplicate poll from the list.

As I have so gently been told, one is enough.

Thanks!
