That's what I wanted to know. Could anyone give a comparison to a McGee Rudall and Rose Refined? How about Terry's Grey Larsen Preferred? (Yes, I know that its a totally different beast, but I am curios to get some opinions.)

Grinter

Are Grinters large or small holed? I can't find his website, so I don't have any info. I'm a big fan of Mike McGoldrick, and since he uses a Grinter I have been very interested to find out more about them. Any one have any info?

Stuck Sindt

Hello everyone, Well, I have had my new set of Sindt whistles for about two months now, and I am having so much fun. What a treat to have these little gems sitting around. Now, I need some advice on a tuning slide problem. I have been having a great deal of difficulty removing the D and E# bodies fr...

One more thought. I don't have any experiance with Jerry Freeman's tweaked whistles, but you might think about them. I have heard a lot of good things about them, and they aren't that expensive. I'm sure some of Jerry's fans around here would be more than happy to give you some imput. Best of luck t...

Go with the Sweetone. It's decently responsive for a cheapy, so your daughter shouldn't have trouble switching to a more demanding whistle. (I see a Susato on the far horizon... :D )

So the C is a nice one? I am ordering a full set form John and I'm trying to decide whether to add the C and C# set. (They are an extra $125, but then a have a feeling I would probably kick myself if i didn't get them, soooo...)

Sindt high D. Wow!!!!!

Well, I received my Sindt high D last Saturday, and I am absolutely delighted! What a sound! I am a bit busy at the moment, but I could post a review later if any one is interested in hearing my impressions. For the moment, I just wanted to share my excitement with some one who would understand. (My...

Oh yes, one more thing. I have been using a Dixon polymer low D for about a year, and I am needing to upgrade. Just thought I'd mention it in case it would be any help.

EZ Burke and Overton Short Reach Low Ds

Does anyone have any info, experience, observations, rants (well, one never knows...), etc., on either of these whistles? I just got a McNeil Low D, and although I love it, it is too far a stretch for me to use on a regular basis or for a long time. So, I was thinking these two brands might be worka...

The new, tour GFM whistles are really different animals. I think the mezzo G is terrific. It is kind of what you would expect as a mezzo G to match the standard GFM. The tour soprano D, made with the same diameter tubing as the mezzo G, (comparing with ALL other soprano Ds) is like holding a bazook...
