With conical bores, the holes have to be smaller. Small as the cone steepens untill the limit gets reached and you end up with a Clarke. But that's OK too because you can reign-in the super-loud second octave. The holes get made big to move them down the tube - that's handy if you want to fit your ...

Pluck a string on a guitar, and search for the harmonics by lightly touching the string without making it touch the frets and you will find pure Fibonacci and 1.618 relationships. A guitar string is not much different then the column of air in your whistle....Hence the fret board is also layed out ...
