Casey Burns makes a smaller handed version that is excellent. Somers makes two versions. The Pratten has larger holes. Dave Copley also makes good flutes that are smaller holes. Any of the three would likely meet your needs.

... to want a back up that isn't wood - I love my Burns small-handed flute and am not looking to replace it. Current travel flute is a Copley Delrin, but it makes my tendonitis flare up ... otherwise, and I would still highly recommend his flutes for anyone without my specific issues).

... Sweet F I've ever played has been great. Ask about for a used one. Copley slideless delrin come in very inexpensive John Gallaghers is excellent ... times makers do these things but don't really advertise them. Casey Burns might do a slideless F cheap enough all wood for instance.

The Copley just sold to a fellow board member who sold me a flute a while back. Both Burns flutes still available.
