Re: Help with id - Old wooden flute

Hi, Mia

You're going to have to direct us to an image of the instrument (or one like it). Or at least give us a few clues. Eg timber colour, keys colour, how are the keys mounted - on a tube between metal posts, or in wooden blocks, what do the rings look like, etc?

How about a "spit valve" for a flute--mounted on the bottom, out of the way of the keys? As a former horn player I was jealous of the trumpet and trombone players. They had their little ...

Re: Dave Williams flute for sale on done deal!

I have a Dave Williams five-key, Pratten, post-mounted keys. I think it’s Cocus, but not sure. Bought it from Lark In the Morning at their (long gone) Seattle store. I think there were two Williams in the store at the time.
