Re: New Here - Alto A Whistle Questions

Hi, I've gone through several mezzo A whistles to find my favorite. The Susato A was very clean and clinical but loud and used more air. The MK is fantastic, uses a fair amount of air and has a nice husky tone with a great second octave. My Goldie A is ...

Re: What is your next favorite flute key after D?

Back when I played flute (had to give it up) I had flutes in (from biggest to smallest)

A
C
D
Eb
F
G
A

I loved the big A alto flute for slow things.

But probably my favourite flute to play was the small F flute. Crans really rippled on that thing! The fret guys capoed on the 3rd fret.
