Friday the Thirteenth will be a lucky for Celtic fans in the Albany area: the Boys of the Lough are coming to town. They'll be at the new WAMC performing arts center. Tickets are a very reasonable $18, and you can reserve them by calling 800-323-9292.
I especially look forward to Cathal McConnell's whistle and flute playing.
I checked out the Boys' website for other tour dates to report here, but the last tour listed was in 2000, so if anyone else has info, I'm sure a lot of C&F folks would appreciate it.
E-mail me if you plan to attend-- I'd love to meet some fellow whistlers.
Thanks Paul. Cathall's still part of the group or is this a back together tour or something? Boy, do I feel stupid about that Albany remark now! Regards,
Local Irish newspaper has it listed as a Trad Celtic X-Mas tour celebrating mid-winter Celt tradtions from Ireland, Scotland, Shetland and Northumberland.
