I find it interesting that the entire diverse religion practiced by over a billion people in several distinct forms known as "Islam" gets just one mention, while both Christianity and Judaism appear in several guises.

Yes, the abbreviation of Islam is interesting, but what interested me even more is the vast, expansive chasm between Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants and Mainline to Conserative Christian Protestenats. According to this ranking, Jerry Falwell would feel more comfortable in aroom with a chanting Buddhist, a Sikh, or even a Scientologist.

I mean, really...I am a 100% Neo-Pagan, yet I'm a 91% Liberal Christian, even though I didnt answer a single question saying that I believe in Jesus?. Weird. And it says I'm only 77% for Mahayan Buddhism and 74% for Theravada Buddhism, yet I sure feel more Buddhist than Protestant. Oh well. At least they got the Pagan part right.

But I'm not in agreement with molding a religious choice around a person's opinions or likes or dislikes, or around the beliefs they may have grown up with or are familar with in their sociaty. Religion's goal should be based on truth, or a striving for truth . . . if I accept the principles I like and disregard the ones I don't, how can a religion truly have a (positive) impact on my life? At the point, why claim any particular religious affiliation?

Actually, I was just thinking how totally cool it would be to have an actively practicing pagan girlfriend...as can be expected, Roman Catholicism has proven to be a very poor match for long term relationships. But this is Jeb country, so if there are any pagans in my neck of the woods, they arent shoutin about it from the rooftops.
