Found this website with some very, very wowly creative shoe pix on it. Of course there were puns to be had.

The very definition of a sling pump:

These are for pussyfooting:

Spaghetti strap shoes. Duh.

Okay, no pun forthcoming, I'm afraid, but I could fall for a girl in these:

[Note from Nano: My apologies to talasiga. The caffeine not having kicked in, I clicked the wrong buttons and wound up editing rather than quoting, and cannot undo the deed. Please accept my quick but inadequate-in-spirit synopsis. Talasiga said, well-craftedly I might add, that he would rather engage in double entendres, and moreover not engage in punning here as to do it up really well he would rather do it in Hindi; furthermore there was his distaste at the word "pundit" being appropriated from Indic languages to a new and frankly degraded meaning in ours. Quite fair, really. And now on below to what I would have done on my own post with my own avatar and so, I shall. Again, my apologies. It's a rough day.]

Isn't double entendre the basis for puns?

The horses you flog! You could almost be accused of killing them first yourself just for the job.

Anyway, I imagine if ol' Winnie-the-Poo were asked what he thought of the word "double entendre", he would say that it is French, and wander off looking for the scotch.

[This wasn't as fun now that I bollixed everything up. It's sort of like when the cake comes out of the box mashed after a botched delivery, and this post is like taking a stab at eating it anyway, ignoring the disastrous presentation on the table, and the pall over the party. ]

I note your now well read apology, Nano. :)

I am also reminded of a situation from Abott and Costello where a mock Red Indian paints someone's palm red. I was a kid when I saw that and was ROTFLMAO.
