What's a very handsome mandolin. It's quite remarkable how much can be had for the price these days. The Pac Rim instruments are starting to give the traditional builders a run for their money. I remember when you had a hard time getting anything decent for twice that price.

I know from experience that you can get some very playable, solid wood mandos for very little cash these days. I have a couple of real low-budget crackers with which I am very happy.
