I'm just in a faze, so please forgive me.
Here's a tune I am trying to work back up. It's called the Destitution Reel. I learned it from an old recording of the group Ground Plan.

I would love to hear this without the backing... Sorry, I just want to concentrate on the flute part and I find that tough to do with the accompaniment.

My first recordings on flute. Took me hours to get a run without a train wreck. Played on my plastic Copley. (Delrin, actually, but whenever I tell people that they always think it's some kind of wood.)

All critiques welcome. Let me know what I'm doing wrong.

So, umm, after a month of playing here's where I'm at... I would really appreciate and criticism that will help me improve. (I'm talking about the flute playing of course, appearance and whatnot will take more time/effort/trouble to improve than I'm willing to expend... :D )

As far as I can tell, it's not very in tune, and rhythm, drive and musicality are all lacking...

anyway, thanks for taking a look.

Tell us something.: From the land beyond beyond. From the time past hope and fear. I bid you, Genie, now appear! Well, the Genie did not appear but the notification to type at least 100 characters did so I am back and typing some more as you, if anyone actually sees this, can probably tell.

My suggestion is to put a sign that says DO NOT ENTER. RECORDING! on the outside of the door when you are recording.

Great playing and tone Holmes. Be careful with the rhythm, you tend to speed up a bit on some passages.

Nice. I felt like by the time you got to the third part you just started to relax....

Relaxing? Always a good thing! Keep up the great work!
Anyway, I am no expert.... just listen o my clips and you'll see what I mean. Also, not so great at giving feedback.
Just wanted to encourage you to stay with it!
Cheers, Arbo
