and see how stuff works. They're still in that learning phase of life
where experimentation is not scary.

Arising as unto a very phoenix from the ashes, it is I, Nano. Let me tell you tales of shadows, and of the underworld.
Yeah, I tried a couple of things, but whatever I did it's still the same-page phenomenon.

Yeah, Nano, I'm looking through the Internet Options in IE, and I'm
not seeing anything useful. Your best bet is probably to hold down
the control key when clicking on a link that you want to open in a
new tab.

oh, and how come MT's handle isn't a mod color?
Re: New Format and Links Question
I don't think that's so. Firefox doesn't act the same as it used to, eitherDenny wrote:keep fiddling with the browser....I'm sure that you can fix it!
(without plugins to force it to). The board used to specify external links
with the anchor tag's "target" set to something besides "_top" so that
the links would come up in a new window (which the browser would redir
to a new tab instead). But now the board is showing links with no "target"
attribute:
Code: Select all
<a class="postlink" href="http://somesite">Hey, click me!</a>
Code: Select all
<a target="_blank" href="http://somesite">I open a new tab or window.</a>
And if you could set them to do so, every time you opened a topic on this
forum, it would come up in a new tab, because those links are untargetted,
too.
EDIT: In fact, this page seems to suggest that it's a different default from
phpBB2, and that you can change the phpBB code to change the behavior:
