Humorous songs?

A forum about Uilleann (Irish) pipes and the surly people who play them.

Do some of the humorous songs tend to be played as pipe tunes, do you know? I'm thinking of things like Poc ar Buile where there might be a long, rambling, dramatic verse followed by a hilarious, explosive refrain. The words are so integral to the comedy of the song, I was just wondering how it's treated (if it is) instrumentally.

some tunes have humorous lyrics, such as "Pretty "Peggy", by the Bothy Band. The Darby Ram is another possibility. And just about any darned sea chanty, reel or jig with lyrics would be fine.
