"My heart tonight is far away,
Across the moonlit sea,
In the sweet Milltown Malbay,
It's there I'd love to be....

So long ago and far away,
But nothing can compare,
My heart's tonight in Ireland,
In the sweet County Clare...."

So are any of you cowboys ( or cowgirls  at Willie Week "and" online? I want full reports please... everything... photos would help and soundfiles would be very nice... video would be very very nice

In LA in 105ºF wishing I was in MM in the rain,

Patrick.

I wish I were in Miltown, too. It's nice to play tunes among musicians who don't consider piping tunes "exotic" (and thus not worth learning!).

So would some of you lucky sods in Miltown give us a report on happenings there? Who was at the piping recital this year? Did anyone go up for the Willie memorial at the graveyard? Has anyone made the trek to Ennis to see the Paddy Keenan and Finbar Furey concert?

Just got back from the piping concert, Mick O Brien was late so guess who in the panic had to go on stage to do a spot after Mickie Smyth on two minutes notice.
Well, I suppose I didn't do too bad considering I hadn't a clue what to play.

All sorts of shenanigans going on as usual.

I btter refrain fro mfurther comments.

Actually it was lovely and warm today and dry too, although I was talking to an old fiddleplayer who came up from Lissycasey where it was bucketing down when he left. Someone must be looking out for us today.
