What did he do to his old windcap? I see him using a different one now.

It is, but they really could have tried a bit harder to tune to the pipes. It must have been obvious that they weren't in concert pitch ( by which I mean A440).
The tuning was rough alright.
Sounds like the B chanter is very flat of B and the Bb flute isn't sharp enough to meet it. You'd think a TV producer would stop the recording and have them tune up.
