Leo Rowsome chanter for sale

Post by tompipes »

Hello all.

For many reasons I've found myself in a position where I must part with a prized chanter.
I have 3 excellent D chanters and another on the way so I've decided to part with one to raise money to invest in pipe making machinery.
I've had the Bourke chanter since I was 12 so I couldn't part with that and chanter #3 isn't worth a whole lot, so unfortunately Mr. Rowsomes great work is leaving me.

I've owned this chanter for about 5 or so years now and its a great stick! I bought the chanter from Martin Preshaw who in turn got it from the late Sean McAloon. Both these gentlemen used this chanter as a template for their own chanters.

I'll post some pictures here when i get a chance but till then you can listen to a clip of it here.

(the chanter still has the same reed)

Anyone who's interested can pm me here or email me at tompipes@hotmail.com as my other email address' are acting up at the moment.

Thanks for your interest in advance.

Great recording and a fantastic chanter.

Regulator overdubs perhaps?

Dang, Tommy, it never rains but pours. I've got to pay for Jim's, though. Somebody buy this lovely creature (not me, the chanter! ;-) )!
