Hey Amar,
I lived in a place called Eagle Rock near Pasedena I believe for about five years when I was a little boy - 'round late 1959 to about late 1964. I can remember the announcement on the school intercom that J.F.K. had just been assassinated (that the right amount of S's there?).
Slan,

I forgot you are only a kid... ...
A few years back a good friend and meself were chatting up two women in a bar and the talk turned to John Lennon. One of the women asked me could I remember where I was when I heard Lennon had been shot."Yeah" sez I, "at home watching the six o'clock news". She didn't seem to be very amused by this so in order to change the subject I asked her if she could remember where she was when she heard that J.F.K. had been shot. She looked me in the eye and sez "I wasn't born then, see ya ."
Some you win.........,
Slan,
Edit. Amar, you switched avatars while I was typing my post - Cran is gonna love that little cutie pie pic. D.

About 2-3 months ago there was a Flip Wilson marathon on some satellite channel I get (TV Land?). I watched almost every episode. He really was great, especially as Geraldine: "The Devil made me do it!"amar wrote:well, it's not that i really really miss them, but thinking of them bring back:

I used to wear a tee shirt with a picture of Mr. Natural truckin' and just passing through written below it.It was appropriate as our family moved often.amar wrote:man, cool, 'keep on truckin', that's the kind of stuff we used to say when i still used to live in the states back in the early 70ies, and stuff like 'dig it?'
hehe...long time back..
man, those were the cool days, you dig...?
Where were you when Kennedy was shot? I have been asked this a few times and the best I can recollect would be...... in diapers, as I was 2 yrs. old.
