That's not a Quinn set. It's a Koehler and Quinn set.

is it just me,
or does it seem to other viewers that there' s some sort of a/v sync issue going on here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l58O0u_cG8

Im NOT saying anything deprecating about the piping or the piper, but I get a sense that the audio was done seperately and then later synced-up to the video while the player is , well, finger-syncing' the tune...

Doe s anyone else get that sensation :-?

Hi Chas

You see this on a lot of youtube vids - I can't see Kenny pipe-syncing   . He would be more likely to re-do the video.

This is a side effect of compressing the video, or changing an existing compressed video file to a different compression scheme, to fit YT's format. Invariably the sync between audio and image is lost to some extent.

boo-tube!
There's this beautiful sounding, large diaphragm, shock-mounted, hi-end condenser with tasteful dsp in one corner: and in the other corner: compressed mpeg.

Poor Nollaig! He'd obviously just sat down to try an unfamiliar set of pipes, and somebody turns a camera on him...8-|

Not a good basis for judging this great set or Nollaig's regulator playing, either... :-/

I've spent a few minutes with this set and it's a real winner. One thing some of you may have noticed is the apparently flat F# - Nollaig seems bothered too, in the video - I had the same experience at first but after 3 or 4 minutes the F# came beautifully into tune. Just in case anyone was wondering...
