Self, don't eat Russian desserts.

Awwww. I bet I had some people worried. :D
Naaahh. You know how when you're reading a book and there's a character's name that you can't pronounce so you just kind of bleep over it? I just did that with your whole post. No problem!

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Baloot or Balute

While in the Phillipines I heard about this "delicacy" and that is as far as I cared to take it.

I am a bit disappointed to not find a picture here, but hopfully the description will present an adequately vivid mental image for you to enjoy:

Here is a picture I found at one site:

One site indicated that Baloot was one challenge they presented.

I could've sworn that was a slice of grilled fruitcake.

The only veggie burger that even deserves to be possibly called a burger is Morningstar.

And hard to come by, unfortunately. That thing in the picture really looks like grilled fruitcake. Many V-burgers are pretty awful or at best bland. *sigh.

I like Gardenburgers best, then Boca comes in at second place. Pretty tasty, and they don't look like grilled fruitcake...another plus! :-D
