The "Daye" practice set has been relisted here.

It looks more like a Pat Sky budget set to me.

Agreed. Makes one wonder how a legitimate seller wouldn't know the maker of his set of pipes.

No Davy, and as soon as I can find someone to make me a name stamp at a decent price I will be able to mark them for posterity (or infamy!).

This chanter is an absolute belter.

That's a beautiful chanter there Mike. If I had the extra scratch I'd bid on it.

An unusual 3/4 Frankenset in D without chanter from Spain
It has drones by Marcello Mutis and reworked Pakistani Regs.

Thank you for your kind words, mrpatrick.

I have a couple more chanters nearing completion (in the pipeline as t'were) so I will be able to offer a chanter separately after Christmas. At the moment I am making a four drone barrel unit, also in Palo Santo, to complement a practice set for a forum member, so chanter building is on hold for a little while.

Nice chanter Mike. What did you base the internal design on (bore, hole placement, etc)?

Hi PJ,

All dimensions, tonehole size/placement and bore data are blatant copies of Chris Bayley's standard design, which I gratefully acknowledge. The original Taylor chanters that he based his own design on play slightly north of modern concert pitch (a = 440Hz) so the bore was adapted to conform to today's standard. His revision works extremely well and the ensuing chanters are a joy to reed and play. One added bonus of this model is that a reed made to the given specification for this chanter works in any of my chanters or, indeed, one of Chris'.

There seems to be a lot of selling in Spain recently.
Charles Roberts D chanter with F, Cnat and stop keys

Maybe this with the 3/4 frankenset would get you going nicely.
