Hope you have one of those boring old couple anniversaries. For our anniversary, the wife & I went to the All-County Chorus, where one of the boys my wife used to babysit sang in the choir, he's 14 now. They sang a nice version of the Ash Grove and some Beatles songs. Then we took the long walk back to the car and picked up prescriptions at the pharmacy on the way. Love don't get no better.

Thank you all so much! (23 years, Greg)

We are having a nice normal day, for a change! Just making the most of being home together.

Tuesday is surgery again, so we are making the most of today.

Tomorrow Lesley goes back into hospital to have her shoulder fixed, we hope. The hospital has a stomach bug (!) so it is possible the operation may yet be postponed but we hope not. We will be glad of your thoughts and prayers and I know I will find support here.
Thank you.

A stomach bug???? ACK!!!!
would you rather not consider postponing it yourself, then? We need to take care of Lesley..........there's only one of her! :)
Maybe you should consult with the hospital in advance, just a thought.

Thank you both! yes, this is one of those catch 22 situations. They will either operate normally or stop everything so we just have to wait. If we postpone it, it could be months before we get another chance and Lesley has too much pain for that. She is really suffering and getting weaker because of it. They already don't really want to anaesthetise her but her quality of life is so poor because of the pain that they will do it. She wants it, wants to be painfree again, so I want it, but I am terrified. But I would not wish for her to stay in so much pain, although she is always cheerful. It is awful for her. Thanks for your support.

All the best to you both, Ro. Have been to Treliske today to visit an old mate of mine in the cardiac ward there. If it's any consolation, I think Treliske has an even worse reputation than the RD&E for bugs!! :boggle:
