I apologize for the multiple posting. Apparently I can't delete the extra postings once someone has replied. Perhaps one of the administrators could play deus ex machina and rectify this situation.

Thanks Carel and Kevin for your comments. Yes, regs are the next step and something I'm thinking about, although I think I'll be happy just progressing in my playing without regs for two or three years at least. I've got a C set coming so that raises the question, regs for which set, the C or the D, or both?

Yes....how is the sound? Cocus wood...that must have been quite an expensive upgrade. Just over a year ago I ordered a Hubbert full set (with a contra bass reg) in ebony with silver keys and mammoth ivory.

Well, I am also teasing myself because they aren't in my hands yet.

And yeah, it was an upgrade . . . cha-CHING! But I'm hoping it'll pay off.

And that's not to say Michael wasn't fair about the price: he is amazing to work with.

I really like marks's styleing! In my opinion, that's how the pipes SHOULD look! BTW, what's that little disc on the back side of the bass drone puck made of? Looks like some kind of stone, marble or granite?

Wonderful looking set!!
