Doc, is that a two-key with just a long-F and Eflat? Does it cross-finger Bflat and Gsharp?

Yup, Eb and Long F. Bb and Cnat cross finger very well. G# cross fingers fairly well. I may get more keys in the future. But then, I may not. I'm pretty happy with it as is.

Chas, thanks for the comparative measurements on the Nicholson & Rudall. Interesting.

Doc, your curly boxwood Burns is lovely! The embouchure hole seems more round than on my boxwood Burns Rudall, which seems more oval.

Wow, is Onkel is going to give a class Berti, or Lixnaw? I'm interested! (I'm truely amazed by his tunes he put up for download a while ago). Can anyone tell any more about this, or maybe a link to the place where this was mentioned before? Hope to see you all again and meet your new flutes *grin*

Thanks to Par (aka ojvoj) for hosting these pics. It is my new D flute in blackwood by Paddy Ward. As you can see it has silver rings and tuning slide. The head is partially lined (just to accomodate the tuning slide).

There are more pics in this thread plus some sound files and a review to come.

Cheers,

Hi everyone,
Here is a picture of the flute I just won on ebay from Patrick Olwell. It is a real honker for a boxwood smallish whole flute.
Now I have to wait for it to arrive...
