Hunter/Lawrence practice set with keyed chanter - this is the same seller as the Soerfine set above.

BTW the Crowley scam set is back on again, twice, and the B set.

Jebus. This is worse than the long-running rash of "Cosby Show" reruns.

hi Folks, the best thing to do for those ebay pipe scams is to report them. Click on "report item" on mid right of listing page level with description, and go from there. I do this every time I come across a suspect item like these and they quickly vanish, and maybe save some poor sod who doesn't know any better from getting scammed!

Tell us something.: I’m changing my location to my actual address. My previous location was a reference to Joyce’s Finnegans Wake.

Not really. Hubbert has a good rep. as a maker, and this looks like a nice practice set.

Besides, $2500 is the buy-it-now price. The seller is also inviting offers.

Agreed, this doesn't look like an entry-level instrument: chanter with wood top, boxwood mounts, and two keys, stitched bellows, name-brand bag (L & M), and recent production date, all from a deservedly celebrated maker at the top of his game.

Not all practice sets need to be student instruments.

Would the Hubbert set sound more valuable if it were labeled "1/4 set" ?
How about "session set" ?

hubbert set still there - looks like the seller is standing firm on price. Buyers seem to be hesitant these days and are prepared to sit it out until the seller compromises.

There are plenty of instruments for sale right now, so it's a buyer's market.

Also, wait until the Christmas credit card bills start arriving in mid-January. That's when you see motivated sellers with good quality instruments.
