The mind works in strange and wondrous ways!
Amazing, too, that this was the only thing going on in here this evening. Well, except for Tal's TROPE thread, which I was afraid to click on. In addition to this, I worked some online jigsaw puzzles. A particularly satisfying Saturday night, I must say.
Feel better, Mute. Drink lots of fluid and keep that gunk loose!

This game you are playing, Mutepointe - it resembles closely a game played here in the UK called "Botticelli".
The "Botticelli" game has two variants you haven't mentioned, so it may not be the same game.
In "Botticelli", you start off with the initial letter of one of the names. Preferably the main name by which the individual is known. I've never known it played with the letter "Q". (Except briefly - very briefly - for that character in Star Trek.)
The other variant is that, in "Botticelli" , if a the original question-poser is unable to answer a yes-no question from the enquirers, he or she must answer a direct question.
But Botticelli doesn't limit you to 20 questions.
Get well soon, Mute!

Those two variants sound interesting. A couple of variants of this game, which I chose not to incorporate, is to eliminate anyone who receives a "no" answer and whoever correctly guesses the identity of the person gets to starts the next round.
