The fat - descriptive term - guy on Dobro....

Looks like Jerry Douglas to me...

I hope he got well paid for that.

Sounds like him and all..

Slan,
D. :)

Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

This I wouldn't know. I'm sure he was well paid, though. Good of you to worry about it. ;)

I'd say that's definitely Jerry Douglas there. I'm sure he was paid well but personally? I'd feel better if the poor guy just had a pair of earplugs...or if he went back in time and decided he'd really rather not take that gig after all...*shudder*

Not sure he had to eat that bad...

But yes, he certainly did steal the show. Guy tends to do that. :D

I'm torn between the butchering of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "You Shook Me All Night Long." Both are made so much worse by dint of being terrible knock-offs of truly great songs. Kinda like the best heroes, if turned, making the worst villains.
"Yes... yes. This is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... This Land."

Well, I'm more of a "sis" than a "bro" but yes, I dabble in Dobro. Or have dabbled. I have a Regal RD-52 Black Lightning dobro sitting here collecting dust. Just had to have one a few years back after seeing AK+US live and meeting Mr. Jerry Douglas himself. Learned "Wildwood Flower," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," and a few Christmas tunes and the novelty wore off. I love it and do drag it out from time to time, but I'm really just not musically gifted, and right now I work too much to devote any significant time to learning the instrument.

Hey, I've dabbled in fiddle too! Mandolin and even a bit of banjo as well.

Okay those were bad. This is the worst. It's teeny bopper. It's morally reprehensible. It's creepy. It's banned in thirty states. It's sad. It's so bad I don't want to post a link.
