Re: Flute Photos!!! Come post your flute pictures :)
Hi everyone,
This is my collection.
From left to right:
- Hamilton D (2001)
- Moeck Renaissance Tenor Flute (late 1990s)
- Ferris F-Flute high pitched, ebonite with 6 keys (2010)
- Bleazy G-Flute, Holly (1998)
- Homemade C-fife (my first and last attempt to turn anything else then a candleholder)
- PVC Piccolo from Jem Hammond (2010)
- Billy Miller Bamboo A-Flute (2010)
- Billy Miller Bamboo F-Flute (2010)
- 5-Hon Shinobue made by Ranjo, bought in Tokyo (2007)
Here is a close look at my Hamilton flute. I attached a replica Celtic silver coin to a new endcap with the help of a friendly dental technician.
And this is my Bansuri in D, made in Germany and resting on a homemade stand made from a tree root.

Re: Flute Photos!!! Come post your flute pictures :)
Hello.
This is my first post in this forum. I've enjoyed playing Irish traditional music for more than ten years in Tokyo, Japan, though I'm not a good flute player.
I've just begun to write my blog about Irish traditional music in English. I've played several flutes since I began to play Irish music. I put some pictures of my flutes and wrote about them - the purchase year, the cost and the waiting time - on my blog.

I hope you enjoy reading it. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment about my blog.
Thank you for reading my post!

No, it has a taped bore (conical). For more information look at forbesflutes.com.Matt_Celta wrote:I guess it's cylindrical?? How does it sound?
This flute sounds very good I think but my technique is not good to make full sound!
Nice design, great condition and build.

In my opinion, Rob Forbes flutes are the best delrin flutes in their price range. Better than many more expensive wooden flutes also...

Hello, I found this in my room! It's beautiful but I cannot play it...It's an anonymous piccolo. Does anyone know how much it's worth? If I could sell it, someone else can play it!
