and yet it has all to start, still.....

I remember someone saying a while back to remember during all the struggling and fighting that there will be a day of good news and you will be able to laugh and laugh.

I do love to say, "I told you so."

Your happiness and your good news are an early Christmas present for all of us here, as well as for you, Berti. I too have been smiling since I read your earlier post.

thank you kevin, that's sweet......
we will have to see what's going to happen after the 14th.
at least the year is gonna be kickstarted and I was told that that very day I will know WHAT is going to happen..........so SOMETHING is going to happen anyways.......
maybe 2010 is going to be what 2008 should have been??? (what a friend said)

for now, I will let it go and just wait till january.
it was said Mike Brownen knows the prof in Belgium very well and has been working closely for years.

don't think I could have had a nicer present than those mails of yesterday!
happy holidays to you all my friends and I will stay in touch.

it feels quite weird right now.
the energy of it all feels different.
I realise I am sitting here and even feel kind of relaxed despite the discomfort.

It's just because I now know that there are people really committing their time on my case and working towards a goal.
And somehow I am gaining some confidence I ever thought I would be able to have again.
It feels kinda like a weird but nice dream....
I just sent them all an email thanking them for doing just that and that I am looking forward to 2010.
What a difference with the things going through my mind few months back.

YES.......
Help on it's way, finally.....
And currently I am not going to think or look further than just that.

Good plan... Can't rush it, can't worry it into fruition. It will come.

Hugs!!

Tomorrow is the appointment with the Prof in Belgium. (google Oorgroep Deurne, has also some english info)
Last weeks things have gone so much worse that I am no longer able to wear the processor longer than half an hour and at the LOWEST volume setting at that.
Went to the weekend GP with heavy head symptoms but they sent me away, saying I have no "fallout" symptoms.
I have been lying on the sofa for almost two weeks now, not being able to do anything really active and generally feeling weak and sick most of the time, on painkillers to help me feel a little comfortable.
Lost part of my taste and senses at the left (opposed) side.
Yesterday was the bomb, with head over heels to see my GP because in the shower I went very lightheaded with a heartrate over 140. (tachycardia)
ECG showed nothing......as long as I keep quiet, it stays ok.
My GP blamed the implant. (huh??)
The neurologist I saw on monday, and who I told the whole story, had nothing else to say than: that is a lot of symptoms. how weird.
EVENTUALLY I will get a CT scan but it was clear he saw no need to hurry.

I have been constantly updating my AB contact person Fanny Scherf (poor girl was swamped) and she will also be at the appointment tomorrow, together with a friend of mine who will have to drive me to Belgium because I am not able to travel the 2,5 hours back and forth PLUS the numerous tests they are going to perform.
Lost 6 pounds last week alone, which is SO unlike me (I rather gain weight when stressed)

After the last email with what happened yesterday my contact person is going to phone the Prof today and discuss, will be in touch with me again today I guess.
Last week has been so bad that I have been mentioning that they better keep me there (it's no hospital but there is one close by they work with)

So the start of the new year has not been that great but I do REALLY hope that tomorrow will bring some answers......
If I hear anything back today, I will post here before I leave tomorrow.
