I think that it's not that people were not willing to pay more, it must be that the reserved price was more then people were willing to shell out.
Now if Davis was traveling with his dog......

And if it were a Cocus Olwell Pratten, Custom made with separate right and left hand sections, and it had a very nicely done lacquer job around the embouchure.........

Maybe it was more than people could afford to shell out in cash ~
I bet if the seller would take credit card, someone would snap it up!

In that picture, the wood looks BLUE! My blackwood fife and flute look brownish purple, almost plummy.

It was relisted and is getting up there in bids now, $660...

Good luck selling it, David, I think you'll make your reserve this time!
