Yeah, it beat out Sikhism. That is, in all seriousness, positively wacky.

I find it interesting that the entire diverse religion practiced by over a billion people in several distinct forms known as "Islam" gets just one mention, while both Christianity and Judaism appear in several guises.

Yes, the abbreviation of Islam is interesting, but what interested me even more is the vast, expansive chasm between Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants and Mainline to Conserative Christian Protestenats. According to this ranking, Jerry Falwell would feel more comfortable in aroom with a chanting Buddhist, a Sikh, or even a Scientologist.

I mean, really...I am a 100% Neo-Pagan, yet I'm a 91% Liberal Christian, even though I didnt answer a single question saying that I believe in Jesus?. Weird. And it says I'm only 77% for Mahayan Buddhism and 74% for Theravada Buddhism, yet I sure feel more Buddhist than Protestant. Oh well. At least they got the Pagan part right.

Hee-hee.

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
for whatever it means. Well, U2 is ok, though I prefer thinking of myself as an Non-Vogonian Crypticist, and respect some views of the Semantic Terrorists™.
2. Liberal Quakers (96%)

Proves one's baptism leaves some trace. How, when born in Saigon, this still gets called "Eastern" orthodoxy beats me. Northern, or "Antipodic" would seem more accurate.

I'm supposed to be a catholic, but this is what I got:

1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%) (-> now that's a surprise!)
2. Liberal Quakers (93%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (90%)
4. Secular Humanism (83%)
5. Orthodox Quaker (71%)
...
19. Roman Catholic (45%)

Quaker sounds cool. Pacifism and horse-carriages - I think I could live with that. :)

Edited to correct a shameful error: the horse-carriages belong to the Amish  But I have gathered a few informations about the Quakers in the meanwhile and am now thinking about joining them for real.

I love it when I manage to waste my employer's money taking an on line quiz at work, but I just can't help myself!
Lots of fun, too.

And my demonination was on the list. One Hundred percent all the way.

But I'm not in agreement with molding a religious choice around a person's opinions or likes or dislikes, or around the beliefs they may have grown up with or are familar with in their sociaty. Religion's goal should be based on truth, or a striving for truth . . . if I accept the principles I like and disregard the ones I don't, how can a religion truly have a (positive) impact on my life? At the point, why claim any particular religious affiliation?

Many of the questions are pretty wacky - they combine what should be several, quite different, responses into ("XXX/don't care/not important").

With that caveat, I got:

1. Nontheist (100%)
2. Secular Humanism (98%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (96%)
4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (87%)
5. Liberal Quakers (80%)
6. Theravada Buddhism (73%)
7. Bahá'í Faith (58%)
8. Neo-Pagan (58%)
9. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (55%)
10. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (54%)
11. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (51%)
12. Taoism (49%)
13. New Thought (46%)
14. Reform Judaism (44%)
15. Sikhism (41%)
16. New Age (40%)
17. Mahayana Buddhism (35%)
18. Scientology (35%)
19. Orthodox Quaker (34%)
20. Jehovah's Witness (30%)
21. Eastern Orthodox (25%)
22. Islam (25%)
23. Orthodox Judaism (25%)
24. Roman Catholic (25%)
25. Seventh Day Adventist (22%)
26. Hinduism (15%)
27. Jainism (15%)

Makes sense, I suppose. Some of those multiple choice questions were a bit tough to answer accurately. I came across a few where I could go between two options. Of course, internet quiz results should never be taken too seriously. As for my own faith, I'll stick with this.

1. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (100%)
2. Orthodox Quaker (95%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (89%)
4. Roman Catholic (89%)
5. Seventh Day Adventist (81%)
6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (72%)
7. Islam (65%)
8. Orthodox Judaism (65%)
9. Hinduism (64%)
10. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (62%)
11. Bahá'í Faith (61%)
12. Jehovah's Witness (57%)
13. Jainism (56%)
14. Liberal Quakers (51%)
15. Theravada Buddhism (49%)
16. Mahayana Buddhism (48%)
17. Sikhism (44%)
18. Unitarian Universalism (42%)
19. Reform Judaism (41%)
20. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (41%)
21. Scientology (39%)
22. New Thought (35%)
23. Neo-Pagan (33%)
24. New Age (29%)
25. Taoism (26%)
26. Nontheist (25%)
27. Secular Humanism (20%)

Actually, I was just thinking how totally cool it would be to have an actively practicing pagan girlfriend...as can be expected, Roman Catholicism has proven to be a very poor match for long term relationships. But this is Jeb country, so if there are any pagans in my neck of the woods, they arent shoutin about it from the rooftops. :sniffle:

Hey Dazed, you could always try here http://www.witchvox.com/vn/vn_index/xpagans.html
to see if there any pagans shouting from the rooftops (or whispering, as the case may be.) :)

Thanks for the site, Ad...very cool. Unfortuneately, based on the limited info I can find there, there seem to be few single, straight female 26-45 Wiccans in my area. Patience is a virtue....
