I'm surprised someone hasn't snapped this flute up for the buy it now price. 1700 US is 933 sterling or 1405 euros. Wilkes flutes are superb instruments and Chris apparently won't be making any keyless flutes for the next 6 years or so. It's a lot of money I know, but well worth it.

Me too.
The Olwell went early this morning,
I don't suppose the Wilkes will be there much longer.

'Twas I.

That's what happens, people, when you start pointing crap like this out to me on payday.

Sigh.

The seller only lives about an hour from me. If you want I could pick up the flute and, umm, arrange shipment... :D

Cheers,
Aaron

Ha! And here I thought I remember putting 'Seattle Area' in my profile. I'm right on the North End of the Lake - Kenmore to be exact, if you must know ;)

Ryan,

Its okay there aren't that many people on the board that know any of the Kenmore jokes.

There seems to be a bunch of us from the greater Puget Sound area posting lately. I find that interesting.

Ahhh, Stuart, my heart is broken.

I saw the Wilkes, was this close to buying then said:

2 sons for braces next week

2 sons in college this fall

airfare for 6 to Seattle in July (anyone heard of Indianola? That's where I started out!)

auto insurance for 16 year old son wanting to drive this summer.

round trip airfare for son who wants to come home from college for a month this summer.

Waaaahhhhhh........

If I put myself on his waiting list, in 7 years I might have the price...

Lucky you!
Mary
