Can somebody direct me to the webpage/site that has an extensive list of all the UP ornaments? I believe it was a pdf on a club's site...maybe an English piper's club?

- Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Maybe the Web page of The North West Uilleann Pipers is where you might have seen what you were looking for.
www.nwup.org and go to their forum page. Look for the thread Is Assessment Scary? and click on Chanter Technique Assessment Sheet.
It's a draft of a teaching aid for the tutors, and lists a host of techniques for students to learn, as Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced students. as ability improves. Useful comments on it from two members are valuable as well.
I found the list really helpful, to see how far along I had come and where I needed to go. With the link to Patrick Darcy's page, and other sites too like the Uilleann Pipes Tutor site, where music for the ornaments are given and/or played, the list in the NWUP pdf doc comes to life.
Not scary at all; I always like to know where (in space and time) I am going to, as well as how to get there and what I will see along the way.
