Never heard of Tommy Guihan before, very nice stuff!

Mr Galway is a great classical player, but trad music requires a completely different approach. I's sorry to say that to me he doesn't sound nice at all on that clip!

Mighty stuff. I first heard him a few years back on a video of a Comhaltas tour concert. I'd say if I had to pick one player he would be high on the list, but sadly I've not been able to hear much of him. Thanks for this post.I have him on the Roscommon flute players CD. Wasn't there a second, was he on that? I have him on video tape of the Comhaltas tour.Any pointers to other sitings very welcome!

I'd love him to make a solo album.

People don't miss this set played by the king of irish flute, Matt Molloy:

I've already heard the first tune but can't remember the name, the third is Musical Priest. Who knows the name of the first and the second tunes?

This is simply awesome!
Thank you! He plays fantastic...

Anyone who knows the name of the second tune? I've known it for a few years now, but never knew the name.

EDIT: never mind, since I just watched Conal O Grada's clip, and he plays this same tune too! He says it's caled the cramer's reel. I found all the info here: http://www.irishtune.info/tune/3440/
I'm very glad he said the name :)

BTW, the second tune Conal O Grada plays, the reel he called the radio reel, is actually called Miss Mcguinness.
