Accompanying recordings to "Our musical heritage"

Post by keylessflute »

Dear all,

is anyone familiar with the book "Our musical heritage" by Sean O'Riada? I had the possibility to read a copy and am now looking for a copy of the accompanying records. I am very much interested in the recordings related to the chapter "The Flute".

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Maurice

There is a series from Sean O'Riada in the archive of the Rolling wave radio series available on listen again on RTE radio 1 web site. It covers the main instruments including a program on Flute and two on fiddle. Good stuff!

Thanks, Kevin, for the hint!

In case anyone else is interested: http://www.rte.ie/radio1/the-rolling-wa ... 217-20122/

To find the episode on the flute, scroll down to 5th February 2012, then click on the date or the "Listen back"-button.
The words are almost identical to the printed version, and its really great to have the music in addition!

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out if download is offered as an option, but it's great to have the possibility to listen to it!

Besides, the site seems to be loaded with other interesting stuff :)

Cheers,
Maurice
